Ben Goodman, founder & director of Ben Goodman Presents (formerly Rock the Bowery Productions), and music columnist for entertainment website New York Spy (www.newyorkspy.com) is dedicated to bringing great live music events to NYC. He's booked & promoted shows at many venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn, including Brooklyn Bowl, The Studio at Webster Hall, Canal Room, Santos Party House, Drom, Connolly's Klub 45, Europa, Fat Baby, and the now defunct Crash Mansion, Southpaw, Don Hill's, and Bowery Poetry Club. For more than 6 years, Ben has booked and promoted the best up & coming acts from the NYC area and across the country. Ben Goodman Presents events attract audiences that include enthusiastic fans, entertainment industry taste makers, executives, and celebrities. At Ben Goodman Presents shows, people stay from the opening act’s first song to the last band’s final encore. Acts gain new fans and venues do good business. Ben and his team go the extra mile in treating musicians, audience members, venue personnel and sponsors fairly with honesty, courtesy and respect.
Music is more than just a business to Ben; it's a passion. That's why he wants to enliven the New York City music scene and help musicians grow their careers. Ben invests time in scouting new acts, allowing him to book solid lineups that create a fun atmosphere for both fans and performers. He has worked alongside other promoters including Urban Noise & Burn It Down Group to produce outstanding shows. Internships at NUE Agency and WPLJ-FM have helped increase his understanding of the music business.
We have worked with a wide variety of acts including The Blues Pages (now called American Authors & signed to Island Records), Elevator Fight, Charlotte Sometimes (as seen on NBC's ''The Voice'', The Parlor Mob (Roadrunner Records/Indegoot Entertainment), Nikki Jean (S-Curve Records), The Click Clack Boom (Andy Hilfiger Entertainment), Cinder Road (Union Entertainment Group), The Henry Millers, Night Fevers, Shoot the Freak, Spirit Animal, Mad Ave Boys, Krista (J Records), Bryce Larsen, Parabelle (ex-Evans Blue/Framing Hanley members), Apache Stone, and Eve to Adam (3 for 5 Records/Universal/Fontana).
